Welcome to Morningside Medical Practice

From Monday 23 March 2020: We ask all patients that if you have any concerns and/or symptoms regarding COVID-19 then to call NHS24 on 111.

For more information, please visit

It is important that you do not attend the surgery unless advised by a GP.

We have had to suspend routine appointments to allow effective triage and focus on urgent problems. If you feel your problem is urgent, we can offer you a triage telephone call back with one of our duty doctors.  The duty doctors will contact you, and can offer you a face to face appointment if clinically needed.  This is to help prevent the spread of infection. We apologise that we have had to suspend routine appointments, but this allows us to focus on more urgent issues and to prevent the spread of the infection.

Please order your prescriptions online and nominate a pharmacy that we can send this to rather than coming in to the surgery. We will only issue the normal repeat prescription requests - no additional amounts will be prescribed.

If you are unable to work for more than seven days because of COVID-19, you can obtain a self isolation note through the NHS online service by clicking here.
